Deacon Dr. James Bornholdt is a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and a retired Technical Fellow at The Boeing Company. He holds a Doctor of Science degree from Washington University in St. Louis, has six U.S. patents and a Top Secret security clearance. During his 43-year career in engineering and science, Deacon Dr. Bornholdt worked in the communications, aerospace, power and electronics industries focusing on research and development of advanced systems. He was an adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at Washington University and president of the Industrial Advisors Board for the St Louis University Parks College graduate program. He received the Scientist of the Year / Young Innovator Award from the Academy of Science of St. Louis in 1977. He has been married to Lisa for 43 years and has two sons and three grandchildren.
