Sarah Justvig, MD, MPH, is a pediatrician at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Sarah graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University with a degree in Biology of Global Health. She attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Clinical Research. As a pediatric resident and chief resident at Stony Brook Children’s, Sarah received the Intern of the Year award as well as recognition for her medical student teaching and collegial approach to her work. This past spring, Sarah completed her General Academic Pediatrics fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital as well as her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her current work combines clinical, research, teaching, and residency leadership pursuits. Sarah is a published and grant-funded first author and currently focuses her research on early childhood development, childhood resilience, and pediatric asthma. Sarah is a member of the Boston Children’s Hospital Teaching Academy for Teaching and Educational Innovation and Scholarship, the Pediatric Innovation Initiative through the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, and the Council on Early Childhood through the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an alumna of and faculty member for the Harvard Macy Institute’s Program for Post-Graduate Trainees: Future Academic Clinician Educators.

Dave Nelson, current YCP Board member, has been the Director of Annual and Leadership Giving at Xaverian Brothers High School since early 2022. Dave arrived at Xaverian with extensive professional experience in sales, having started his career at EMC, and then holding sales or sales management roles at Dell, Nimble Storage, Rubrik, and lastly Snowflake Computing. He also founded Milestone Mind, a leading mental resilience education company, where he had the opportunity to work with organizations such as ExxonMobil, TripAdvisor, the Navy SEAL Foundation, the Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Fire, and many other individuals and organizations across the country. Also a graduate of Xaverian, Mr. Nelson went on to attend Lafayette College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and sociology. As a Lafayette football co-captain, Mr. Nelson was a 2006 recipient of the ECAC Award of Valor, an annual award to honor Eastern College Athletic Conference student athletes whose courage, motivation, and relentless determination serves as an inspiration to all, and the first recipient of the Lafayette College David Nelson '06 Award of Valor, presented annually to a football player who displays an exceptional amount of heart and courage. In his role at Xaverian, Mr. Nelson continues to build upon the school’s strong annual giving program (the Fund for Xaverian), while working closely with the rest of the advancement team in cultivating new major gifts and stewarding donors.
