Shane Fitzgerald
Chief Operating Officer at UofL HealthShane Fitzgerald was born in Louisville, KY and grew up in New Albany, IN. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital. A role he began in January 2024 after returning from an eight-month assignment as interim-CEO at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. Before beginning his health care career in 2012, Shane spent time in banking, education and with the Order of Preachers. He is a graduate of Our Lady of Providence HS, Indiana University Southeast (BS/MBA), and the Aquinas Institute of Theology (MA/MDiv).
Shane lives in Sellersburg with his wife and daughter and belongs to St. John Paul II parish. He serves on the boards of SCN, Inc. and South Louisville Community Ministries. For fun Shane enjoys spending time with family, physical activities, cooking, and discussing current events.
