Drs. Todd and Chantal Prewitt met the month before he graduated from medical school and at the end of her first year of graduate school for Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of Kentucky. They married during his Family Medicine residency and started their life together in Little Rock, AR where she completed a post-doc fellowship at UAMS while he served in the USAF medical corp. He eventually moved from patient care to managed care and currently is an executive in value-based health strategies at Humana. She has taught gross Anatomy and Neuroscience at four medical schools, one dental, nursing, and medical coding school and has spent the past ten plus years running the Anatomy Lab at Bellarmine University for the graduate physical therapy students. They started their family in his native Northern Kentucky (Chantal grew up in Northern Liege…Belgium) and have raised three boys here in Louisville, all St X grads now. Faith and love of family has been central to their mission as careers, schools, extra -curriculars and address changes have challenged their relationship, but never their love for each other. They have been engaged in school and charity boards, as room mom, Cub and Boy Scout leaders, music ministry, lay ministry and more to be strong examples of living a faithful life and to keep the Catholic church central in their boy’s lives. Married for 28 years and together for 30, they are excited for this next stage of life, love, and marriage.
