Shannon Gravitte
Vice President, Public Affairs at AdventHealthShannon Gravitte serves as Vice President of Government Advocacy for AdventHealth, one of the largest, non-profit, faith-based health care systems in the United States, headquartered in Central Florida. As part of the senior leadership team, Gravitte sets the overall direction and strategy for AdventHealth’s advocacy efforts at the federal, state and local level in nine states. AdventHealth operates more than 50 hospitals and hundreds of care centers across the country and employs more than 80,000 team members.
Gravitte has more than 25 years of experience in public affairs. Prior to joining AdventHealth she served as vice president of Government and Community Affairs for Mears Transportation Group and Director of the Florida office of Hill & Knowlton Strategies. Her public sector work includes serving as senior advisor to former Congressman and Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, and former Orlando Mayor and Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood. Earlier in her career, she directed local and state governmental affairs for Universal Orlando and served five years as a Capitol Hill press secretary.
Gravitte serves on the Board of Directors of Give Kids the World and the Orlando Economic Partnership and is Vice Chair of the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness. She is a Leadership Florida alum and serves on the FSU Healthcare Executive Advisory Board.
