John Ruffo
Financial Advisor and General Agent at Knight of ColumbusJohn Ruffo is a General Agent for the Knights of Columbus, and Financial Advisor for the Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors, serving Brother Knights and their families in Connecticut. A member of the Knights of Columbus since 2008, John became a Field Agent in 2014, serving the members of Northern NV and CA.
Born in South Lake Tahoe CA, and raised in San Jose CA, John married Joanna in 1998
and started their family in Dayton, Nevada. A few years later John’s work moved them to Lincoln, California, where he joined the Knights of Columbus. Some years later, living with his growing family back in Nevada again, John was in an 18-year career with PepsiCo when he received an email from the local General Agent in CA, looking for someone to work in his area as a Field Agent. By this time, John and Joanna had four daughters, Kayla, Megan, Emma, and Madison. Things were going well but with a lot of thought and prayers, John thought he should consider the new career path. As the sole provider for his family, it wasn’t an easy decision at the time.
John’s leap of faith paid off. He was recognized in his 2nd year as Field Agent for the Order and continues to be very successful. John has attained his designations as Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF), Certified Long-Term Care (CLTC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and as an agent qualified for Supreme Knights Club which is an honor reserved for the top producers in the Order. Additionally, during his time as a Field Agent, he qualified three years in a row for the Million Dollar Round Table, an international organization that recognizes the top one percent of financial professionals.
Then, in 2017, John made another big career choice when he accepted the role as General Agent (GA) here in CT. In addition to his responsibilities as a GA, John is currently ranked in the top 5 of Financial Advisors for the KoCAA.
John is dedicated to the success of his agents, the members of Knights of Columbus, and the founding Father McGivney’s vision with a passion to find solutions that help Catholic families with financial well-being, through products like Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Disability Insurance, Retirement Annuities and Mutual funds, all which are in line with our faith under the guidelines of the USCCB.
