Fr. Alejandro Ortega Trillo was born in Tijuana, Mexico. He studied Medicine at the Tech Institute of Monterrey. He earned a master’s degree in Spirituality and Humanistic Letters in Salamanca, Spain; and a master’s degree in Philosophy, Moral Theology and Bioethics in Rome, Italy. Ordained a Priest on January 1, 2000, he was Dean of Studies at the Cumbres Institute and Academic General Director of the Anahuac University in Mexico City. He has been a Member of the Research Ethics Committee of the Health Division of the Tech Institute of Monterrey, as well as Consultant and High Commissioner for Mexico and Latin America of the Preparatory Commission of the United Nations Multilateral Treaty Universal Education Chart. He has also directed several centers for human and spiritual development and has had a long career as a personal, marriage and family counselor. He is a writer, radio and television communicator, and international speaker. He is the author of the books Vices & Virtues (Best-Seller), Guerra en la Alcoba (the art of arguing as a couple), and Los 7 Grandes Temas del Noviazgo y Matrimonio, as well as editorial articles published in various newspapers and on social media sites. He currently serves as Parochial Vicar at San Monica Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas.
