Join us on Tuesday October 1 from 7-9pm for our next Executive Speaker Series with Lúcia Soares and Miguel Ávila at St. William Hall in Los Altos. There will be adoration from 5:30-6:30pm and daily mass at 6:30pm before the main event. Our speakers will be speaking on how they kept the faith in their family life while growing in their careers. Lúcia Soares is the Chief Information Officer and Head of Technology Transformation at Carlyle. In this role, Lúcia is responsible for driving the firm's global technology strategy and leading the firmwide Global Technology Solutions organization. Miguel Ávila is a senior business executive with 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. He serves as Vice President of Global Quality, Regulatory, Medical, and Clinical Affairs at Cordis, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacturing of interventional cardiovascular technology. After the talk, there will be opportunity for Q&A. Dinner will be provided for all attendees.
Lúcia and Miguel have been married for 26 years. They have two daughters, Amélia and Sofia. Lúcia and Miguel are active parishioners at Five Wounds Portuguese National Church in San José being engaged in the Liturgical Ministry, Finance Council and the Arts and Environment Committee. The Executive Speaker Series is a free event open to the public in which executives share their career and faith journeys with young professionals, challenging them to "Work in Witness for Christ." Attendees enjoy complimentary drinks and appetizers and have a chance to socialize before and after the evening's presentation.
