Deacon at Archdiocese of San AntonioScott and Diane met while on active duty in the US Air Force, and have been married over 37 years. They have lived in San Antonio the past 26 years, and have four children and two grandchildren. Scott is the oldest of four siblings born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Scott and Diane met while on Active Duty in the US Air Force, and have lived in Florida, Germany, Colorado, and Texas. They were part of St Mary’s Parish downtown San Antonio for almost 21 years when they were assigned to St Matthew Parish on Wurzbach at Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate in 2018.
Upon retiring from the US Air Force after 20 years of service Scott taught high school math and coached the Varsity Soccer Team at Holy Cross HS, taught academics to Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 pilots in Saudi Arabia, and is currently an Aviation Safety Official for the Boeing Company at Kelly Field.
Scott and Diane are members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, serve in healing ministry, and currently lead the St Matthew Charismatic Prayer Group. Diane frequently assists Deacon Scott at Funeral Vigils and Baptisms.
Diane Sowell

After college Diane was the Director of a wilderness challenge program which provided intervention for at-risk youth prior to entering the US Air Force where she served 4 years as a Weapons Controller. Along with raising their 4 children, Diane has an MBA, has spent many years volunteering in the area of Family Violence and with women at risk, has been a Parish Music Director, has been a Parish RCIA Director, and is currently the St Matthew Family Life & Marriage Director as well as the Annulment Coordinator.

Donnie Walker achieved a BBA in Finance from the Mays Business School. He also walked on the Varsity swim team and was voted co-captain of the swim team by his team members and coaches. He is also a member of the highly renowned Titans of Investing network. Donnie is heavily involved in his faith community and has a passion for helping people and teaching them the faith, especially teens. He receives the greatest joy when coaching, serving others, and helping people achieve their dreams.
