Steve Riccio
International Business & Management Senior Lecturer at Dickinson CollegeSteve Riccio is the Executive Director of the Burgess Institute for the Global Economy and Senior Lecturer in the International Business & Management department at Dickinson College teaching courses including Fundamentals of Business, Human Resource Management, International Organizational Behavior, and Profiles in Leadership.
Steve was recently selected by Dickinson’s Class of 2023 as the recipient of the Constance & Rose Ganoe Memorial Award for inspirational teaching. His passion is working with individuals and teams to create purpose that leads to lasting fulfillment. He believes that each of us possess unique talents and strengths that need to be utilized for the greater good to society.
Steve Riccio also serves as a Senior Consultant at Dering Consulting Group in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania where he supports client needs through strategy, organizational development, training and coaching solutions and services. He has facilitated leadership and team development programs throughout the country and is a certified facilitator of DiSC, Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. He also has more than 1,100 hours of experience coaching leaders across multiple industries. Prior to teaching, Professor Riccio served as the associate vice president of human resources at Dickinson College as well as a organizational development consultant for Arthur Andersen and Smart Consulting.
Professor Riccio earned his doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Educational Leadership in Higher Education. He holds both the Professional Coach Certification (PCC) certification from the International Federation for Coaching (ICF). In addition, he earned the Senior Professional of Human Resource (SPHR) certification through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Lisa Ritter
Partner at Maher DuesselMs. Ritter began her public accounting career in 1987. Her clients include non-profit and governmental organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of Maryland. The nature of her client base is diverse and includes entities who receive federal and state funding, as well as those who are reliant on dues or contributions for funding streams. Services performed for these clients include audit, review, compilation, agreed-upon procedures, fraud investigation, consulting, and tax return preparation. She also specializes in litigation support. Ms. Ritter is also a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information Technology Professional and has received the AICPA’s SOC for Cybersecurity certificate and directs the firm’s IT Audit Practice Unit. Ms. Ritter has extensive experience with Single Audits.
Dan Kerr
Division Leader at Southland IndustriesDan Kerr is a 30+ year engineering and construction industry professional who has spent much of his career leading the strategic growth of business units that have exceeded $100 million in annual revenue. After graduating from Penn State University’s college of engineering in 1991, he first served as a consulting engineer in the commercial, healthcare and industrial building sectors. He was eventually recruited into a major building contracting business where he was responsible for managing all aspects of a rapidly growing engineering and energy services profit center. Based on that team’s success he was asked to accept an assignment as President of a lower performing sister-company in Montgomery County, PA. Several years into that assignment he was able to arrange the acquisition of his firm by Southland Industries, the largest value-added contractor of its kind in the U.S. He now leads Southland’s Pennsylvania and New Jersey Division.
Dan is married, with two grown sons and two grandchildren. He and his wife, Lori, are active at Historic St. Mary’s (Assumption BVM) in Lancaster. He enjoys outdoor exercise, reading, and playing trumpets.
