Join us for an evening of thought-provoking discussion as we explore the virtue of Courage and its profound impact on the legal profession, leadership, and society at large. In partnership with Napa Legal, this event will feature distinguished legal experts who will share their insights on how courage and justice shape their professional journeys and personal lives.
About Napa Legal & The Good Counselor Project Fellowship:
Napa Legal is dedicated to equipping attorneys and nonprofit leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of law, faith, and freedom. Their Good Counselor Project (GCP) Fellowship invites attorneys to view the law not just as a profession, but as a vocation from God to serve the common good. Through this program, attorneys engage in two in-person retreats, four virtual seminars, and monthly lectures from professionals at the intersection of faith and society. GCP Fellows receive formation, build lasting friendships, and join a growing national network of faithful attorneys committed to transforming society through service and support of faith and freedom.
Our Panelists:
Frank DeVito: Counsel at Napa Legal and former solicitor for the Carbon County, PA Children & Youth Services Agency. Frank is a published author in legal and cultural matters, bringing extensive experience in public service and nonprofit legal work.
Mary Margaret (Beecher) Bush: Vice President & Executive Director of Napa Legal Institute, with expertise in nonprofit law, corporate governance, and financial compliance. Mary Margaret is dedicated to guiding nonprofit organizations through complex legal challenges.
John Ketcham: Attorney, legal policy fellow, and Director of Cities at the Manhattan Institute. His expertise includes housing, local elections, infrastructure, and more, particularly in New York City and State. John also serves as the president of the Long Island City Lawyers Club and the treasurer of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy in Astoria, Queens.
Moderator:
Karl Kilb: An adjunct professor at Fordham Law School, Karl Kilb brings extensive expertise in legal matters and media. With a distinguished background as the CEO of a financial technology company and over 20 years at Bloomberg LP, including as General Counsel, Karl has a unique perspective on the intersection of law, technology, and media. His experience makes him an excellent guide for this evening's discussion on the role of courage in the legal profession and beyond.
