Come join YCP Fort Worth for our Advent retreat. The theme is "Wait. Anticipate," and we will be joined by our chaplain, Fr. Brett Metzler! In the busyness of the season, come find respite with the Lord and learn how to really harness the joy of waiting.
RSVP today so that we know how many to prepare for. All are welcome!
In the retreat theme, Simeon was a "righteous and devout" man "looking forward to the consolation of Israel" (Luke 2:25 NASB). The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not pass "before he had seen the Lord's Christ" (Luke 2:26).
Simeon waited for the Messiah's coming. How are we to wait for Him and welcome Him into our hearts this Advent season? Week by week, day by day? To prepare for His Arrival? This retreat will focus on waiting and anticipating for Jesus with that theme in mind.
St. Joseph Saturdays are retreats open to the public that encourage young professionals to "look upon work with the eyes of faith" and see God's presence in their vocations and professional lives. Retreats include time for guided reflections, group discussion, confession, and Mass. They especially encourage reflection on the life of our YCP patron, St. Joseph the Worker, and the St. Joseph prayer we recite as a YCP community at the end of each event.
