Refiner's Fire Episode 36: Power and Influence: An Ethical Perspective will be LIVE on Tuesday, December 12th at 12 pm CT with J. Lee Whittington, Dean and Professor of Management in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas. There is a lot of power inherent in any formal position. We control resources and can make decisions that impact not just the organization, but also the people who work there (and their families). The fact is, those people are dependent on us and the greater that dependency, the more power we have. Given this, it is imperative that we handle their dependency - our power - delicately.

We must cultivate the habit of asking ourselves this question: How will I handle their dependency? Even more fundamental than that, we must question - and allow others to question our motives. Am I going to use my power to advance my personal interests? Or am I going to use my power to create an environment where people can flourish, grow, and thrive? J. Lee will share some of his own experiences to illustrate the practical dimensions of these questions. You don't want to miss it!

Don't forget that during the event you can submit questions in the comments for our speaker that will be asked during Q&A.
