ABOUT YCP'S EXECUTIVE MENTORSHIP PROGAM:
Do you want to gain valuable insights and mentorship from a variety of experienced professionals who are dedicated to exclusively serving San Diego YCP Belong+ members?
Look no further as we are excited to announce the launch of YCP San Diego's Executive Mentorship Program! This offers YCP Belong+ members a way to connect with Catholic executives who are committed to the Faith and providing guidance on the pursuit of excellence in your chosen fields. These seasoned Catholic executives will serve as mentors in regular meetings by offering insights and guidance on matters of faith and work to aid YCP Belong+ members in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges they encounter in their lives. YCP's patron, Saint Joseph, is held up as a model of virtue in the Church due to his dedication to his vocation as a simple carpenter and as the foster father of Christ. Following his example, YCP uses the word "executive" to mean those striving to perform excellent and meaningful work, whether as a carpenter, teacher, doctor, or engineer.
NOTE: If you are not yet part of Belong+ and want to learn about this opportunity, you are welcome to attend to see if it is of value to you!
EVENT OVERVIEW:
We will have our first member-mentor event at St. Brigid's in Pacific Beach on Tuesday evening 8/29. It will be facilitated via speed networking in small groups with socializing before and after. You will have a chance to meet with all current executive mentors designated for the San Diego chapter. Discussion prompts will be provided to guide your conversations. Complementary drinks and appetizers will be served. After the event, we'll provide you with instructions on how to apply for a 1:1 pairing with your chosen mentor(s) going forward.
After the networking event, we will ask you to let us know which mentors you connected with most so that you may request them as a personal mentor going forward. YCP SD will then help make that initial connection via email for you and your assigned mentor to pursue further.
GOALS OF YCP'S MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:
- To encourage Catholic identity in the workplace.
- To develop a stronger local business community and service-oriented culture.
- To assist the next generation of Catholic leaders in their vocational development.
- To allow mentors and mentees to inspire one another and grow in their Catholic faith.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS (***RSVP DUE BY FRI 8/25***)
Registration requires Belong/Belong+ membership. If you are not yet a Belong member and would like to attend, please sign up for a Belong or Belong+ membership using this link. Then, register for this event.
REMINDER: Application for an assigned mentor is exclusive to Belong+ members. You can also upgrade from Belong to Belong+. In order to upgrade, please email help@youngcatholicprofessionals.org. YCP will then send you an invoice for the price difference between Belong and Belong+.
