Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel, Corporate Litigation at TravelersPeter Schwartz is Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel for Corporate Litigation at Travelers. Peter has worked at Travelers since 1989, and has held a number of legal and management positions during his tenure, including as General Counsel and head of Claim for one of its three core businesses. Prior to joining Travelers, Peter worked as a litigation attorney for a Hartford area law firm. Peter received his law degree from the UConn Law School, and his undergraduate degree from UConn.
Peter is President of the Hartford Chapter of Legatus, an international organization of Catholic business executives devoted to formation, fellowship and evangelization. Peter also serves on the Board of Directors of Crossroads for Christ (C4C), and on the Finance Council for his parish, St. Francis of Assisi in New Britain. Peter lives with his wife, Laurie, in West Hartford and is the proud father of five adult daughters.
