Executive Speaker Series: Four Corners Brewery

Join YCP Dallas for its upcoming Executive Speaker Series, where we will feature Deacon Joe Coleman​, who will lead us through an insightful discussion on "Finding Christ in the Workplace."

Joe Coleman, an ordained Deacon since June 2019, will be speaking at this month's upcoming Executive Speaker event. As a devoted Prince of Peace community member, Deacon Coleman was assigned to the parish shortly after his ordination. His connection to Prince of Peace runs deep, as he attended the very first Mass ever held at the church. Additionally, all three of John's children received their education at the POP School, from pre-school through 8th grade.

Before his assignment at Prince of Peace, Deacon Coleman served his previous parish for five years, where he took charge of RCIA sponsors. His dedication to guiding individuals through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults led him to sponsor seven individuals during his time there.

His educational background includes attending parochial school from kindergarten through 8th grade. His first-grade education was unique as he experienced bilingual instruction, with Polish in the mornings and English in the afternoons. He pursued his education at a Benedictine High School, followed by a Jesuit University.

Blessed with a foundation in Ignatian Spirituality, Deacon Coleman has completed various spiritual exercises, including the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. For the past four decades, his close friend and spiritual mentor emphasized the significance of recognizing the Holy Spirit in everyday life and embracing Jesus' unconditional love and deep friendship. Deacon Coleman views faith as an inexhaustible source of joy, enriching his existence.

Outside of his religious pursuits, Joe established a law firm 27 years ago, which continues to thrive today. Through his exciting legal practice, he traverses the country, representing clients in diverse matters. Beyond his professional achievements, Deacon Coleman proudly acknowledges marrying his beloved wife, Carmen, acknowledging that he "married way over my skis." Together, they have been blessed with three remarkable children. Currently residing in Manhattan, NY, and Dallas, Deacon Coleman's children excel in their respective fields of finance, marketing, and computer engineering. One of his children actively engages in stand-up comedy, showcasing their versatile talents.

During his leisure time, Deacon Coleman enjoys playing golf and sharing moments with his friends over a refreshing pint of beer. While he humbly admits his golf skills may need improvement, his talent for fostering camaraderie and friendship remains unwavering
