ATTN Parents: Childcare will be provided by three teens from Ascension Parish out of Chesterfield.
Please email alex.burkart@ycpstlouis.org to confirm how many children you will be bringing.
Choosing Life: Navigating A Career In Modern Medicine will include a panel discussion where three young Catholic professionals, including a practicing OBGYN from Mercy, a Resident OBGYN from STLU, and a WashU medical student, will weigh in on their call to holiness through the practice of medicine, the challenges they face in promoting a culture of life, and their efforts to evangelize both patients and colleagues alike in their specific fields. Dr. Mary Ann Cheng, a retired Anesthesiologist and member of the Cathedral Basilica, will also be our Moderator for the night.
This event is open to professionals from all fields, not just medical.
The goal? To inspire those in or entering medicine to persevere in promoting the culture of life, to illuminate the ethical challenges faced by those on the frontlines in order to educate those outside the medical profession, and to celebrate success stories of evangelization among patients and colleagues that reflect our mission to live and work in witness for Christ. This is a first-of-its-kind event for YCP St. Louis, and we're excited to kick things off with an amazing lineup of panelists! We aim to extend this inspiration across multiple industries, so if you believe your field needs spotlighting, let us know! We're all about collaboration.
